PROUD MARY SPECIALTY INSTANT COFFEE | WILD | Benti Nenka

Proud Mary Instant Coffee. There's instant coffee and then there's what's in this box - outstanding, 'what the?!...this is instant?' instant. Our version is where high-quality, thoughtfully sourced single-origin coffee you've come to expect from Proud Mary and life's on-the-fly coffee moments intersect.

In The Box
5 single servings of Benti Nenka Ethiopia.

This exceptional coffee comes from the Benti Nenka washing station, located in a small village – also called Benti Nenka – in Guji. Farming practices in Guji remain pretty traditional, with producers typically farming very small plots of land (1-2 hectares) adjacent to their homes – they’re essentially farming in their backyard. It’s very much a family business, with spouses, children, and grandchildren providing all the labor. After the days harvest is done, producers deliver their coffee to community washing stations for processing.

Almost 600 producers deliver their coffee to the Benti Nenka washing station, where Amare Tesfaye (the Station Manager) and his team work their processing magic. Focusing mostly on natural processing, coffees are thoroughly sorted before being dried on raised beds in the sun. The fertile soil and high altitude in the region provide the perfect conditions for exceptional coffee.
